Lügner (born November 8, 1973 in Dielsdorf ; real name Sascha Rossier ) is a Swiss rapper, radio maker and producer.

biography

Liar grew up in Thalwil on Lake Zurich and initially tried his hand at breakdancing and sprayer. However, since these activities did not produce the desired results, he began rapping. In 1990 he produced the first beats together with two schoolmates. A year later he founded the formation "Mamanatua", in which Liars raped in English. Through contacts with Patrick “CrazeeBo” Böhler, who has already produced for bands like NTM Suprême, Lügner was able to record in professional studios for the first time. After a demo, "Mamanatua" released the maxi "Peeping Tom" in a slightly different formation in 1992, which won the "golden rabbit" in 1993. After many live performances in the following years, the program "Mamanatuas Voice" emerged, which from then on was broadcast every other week on the Zurich local radio station "LoRa". In 1994 the group released the 2nd maxi "N'che Tempo", which actually originated from the album "Wuataproof", but which never was released because "Mamanatua" split shortly afterwards. Lügner then completed training as a sound engineer. He then built and managed a recording studio for a Zurich company. This is how he came into contact with numerous Swiss rappers such as Bligg and GleisZwei. So in 1995 the first Zurich rap record "Zürislang 95 die scht" was created, which Lügner recorded with Tiisär, Bligg, DJ Cutmando and DJ CrazeeBo during a nightly freestyle session. At this point, Lüner decided to rap in Swiss German from now on. Shortly afterwards he founded the rap group "paar @ ohrä" together with "Tiisär". In 1996 the two members founded the multimedia production company "UUM NUPER paragraphix", in whose studio Lügner recorded his raps from now on. Rennie from the Kuchikäschtli section recorded his first texts in the same studio. For many other well-known Swiss rap artists, the studio developed into a main meeting point for the Zurich rap scene at the time.

The first song by "paar @ ohrä" ("De Waan") was released on the "Zürislang" sampler. 2 years later the formation released the LP "Chrüüzwort". Then "Paar @ ohrä" sign a contract with the label "Maximum Respect". In 2000, Lügner produced beats for several rapper friends on their sound carriers. He was also heavily involved in the production of the first video clips in the Swiss rap scene. As a producer he was responsible for videos for artists like "Bligg 'n' Lexx" or "Black Tiger". Together with friends, Lügner later produced a demo of a radio program for the Swiss youth radio Virus, which was broadcasting its first programs at that time. At the start of the broadcast, Lügner is also part of the team and moderated the hip-hop show "Bounce" together with Misk. With "paar @ ohrä" Lügner later produced the soundtrack for the Swiss dogma film "Joyride". The soundtrack was released as an EP. In 2001 the single "Vogel" was released. The accompanying video clip is recognized as the best music video at the "Most Hip-Hop Awards". In 2003 the maxi "Analisation" was published as a foretaste for the album "Bäck tudä Ruth", which was released shortly afterwards. At the beginning of 2003, the publications of "paar @ ohrä" were reduced, the main focus was on supporting talents from the Zurich underground. Nevertheless, the rap group took part in the Zurich music festival m4music and performed the "Unlive Show" program there. The songs recorded for this show were then released on a maxi single. Lügner later got a job as a music editor at the Swiss radio station SRF 3. Lügner was also heavily involved in other media. In 2005 his only solo album "Kukelikki" followed, for which video clips for the songs "Es isch de" and "Vergissimi" were shot. The album reached number 75 on the Swiss album charts. With “Mach en ine” he also released an EM song with a video clip as a foretaste of the EM 2008 in Switzerland and Austria.

style

With his own works as a member of the Zurich rap formation “Paar @ Ohrä” (paar at ohrä: a couple to the ears), he was celebrated by the Neue Zürcher Zeitung as the grandson of the Zurich tradition of Dadaism : “Above all, it is the intricate, pun-rich ones Texts with which Paar @ ohrä revive Zurich's Dada tradition and wipe out the usual hip-hop listening habits ». At the beginning and end of his songs - sometimes in the middle - film clips or dialogues are played that relate more or less directly to the content of the song or in which there is talk of a “liar”.
