The Lützowhaus is a monument in Schöneiche near Berlin .

The Lützowhaus is located in the Schöneiche district at Dorfstrasse 14, by the so-called “fairy tale forest”. Today, on the site of the former hunter's house, which was originally made of wood, there is a brick building with a tiled roof that was built towards the end of the 18th century. Nothing is left of the original interior design, the roof was last renewed in 1981. Today it is used as a residential building.

The building is of historical importance because between May and September 1809 the freedom fighter Adolf von Lützow recovered here after a serious wound taken with French troops in a battle near Dodendorf near Magdeburg under the command of Major Ferdinand von Schill . According to a story by Felix Havenstein , the Kleinschönebecker Dorfschulze Grätz is said to have brought Lützow from an unsafe hiding place to Schöneiche at the instigation of the lord of Schöneiche, Friedrich Wilhelm Schützes . He was housed in a hidden chamber at ground level in the building and cared for for several months until he recovered. Today a bronze plaque is attached to the house, which reminds of the incident.
