LEG price

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The LEG Prize is endowed with around 10,000 euros and honors outstanding urban planning concepts for young talent (students) in the fields of architecture, geography, urban, landscape, spatial and environmental planning. It is currently awarded every two years.

history

The LEG Prize is awarded by the Association of Regional and Urban Development Associations. The forerunner of the award was the Heinrich Vormbrock Funding, which was initiated in 1970 and - also every two years - awarded to young urban planners. In 1990, the Heinrich Vormbrock funding was renamed the "LEG Prize".

concept

The award is aimed at students of architecture and urban planning. The competition participants must develop suitable urban planning concepts on the basis of practical tasks (locations). The formulation of the tasks is carried out by members of the development association, two to three tasks are formulated per award.
