Front and back views

The LG P920 Optimus 3D enables HD (1080p) video recording via the integrated 5 megapixel digital camera. The device is based on a 1 GHz OMAP4 dual-core processor. The LG P920 Optimus 3D is known for its NOVA screen, which can also be seen in bright ambient light. Other standard functions include WLAN according to 802.11 b / g / n, HSDPA with 10.2 Mbps, HSUPA with 5.76 Mbps, UMTS with 384 kbps and Bluetooth 2.1. EDGE and GPRS are also available. The internal memory can be expanded by up to 32 GB using micro SDHC. The device has GPS and an HDMI output. LG uses Google Android 2.2 (Froyo) with LG's own LG-S Class user interface as the operating system . LG has released an update to Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread). The device also supports Adobe Flash 10.3 and DivX / Xvid . There is now an official update to Android 4.0.4, for which a Windows desktop is required.

Stereoscopy

Labeling for 3D content

In 3D mode, photos can be taken with three megapixels, the video resolution is then 720p. Stereoscopic content can be created on the 3D-capable LG Optimus smartphone, viewed and transmitted to a 3D television. 2D content can be converted into three-dimensional simulations. This function is criticized for its poor implementation; the spatial impression of this content is partially flawed or only moderately available.

Applications

The LG Optimus 3D comes with a number of different 3D applications ranging from 3D games to a 3D gallery. All 3D features are brought together in an in-house 3D platform.

Hot key

The so-called 3D hot key gives you immediate access to the 3D platform. In addition, the hot key enables users to switch between a 2D and a 3D view. This hot key displaced the shutter button on the camera, which, in contrast to other LG smartphones, is triggered by a virtual button on the display.

From firmware version V20 * / V21 * with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, it is possible to trigger the camera's recording function using the 3D hot key. To do this, the corresponding application (camera app) must be started in advance.
