The LISA Akoya is a light aircraft produced by the French manufacturer LISA Airplanes . It can take off and land on slopes, snow and water without any modifications.

history

The prototype of the Akoya took off on August 22, 2007 in Chambery Savoie with Gérald Ducoin at the controls on its maiden flight. Construction of a pre-series machine began in 2010 and type certification in the American LSA class and a corresponding European approval are planned for mid-2012. The purchase price is given as 300,000 euros. In the future, a variant with a fuel cell drive and solar cells on the wings will be developed with Hy-Bird.

construction

The Akoya is an unconventional shoulder- wing aircraft with wings that can be folded down for ground transport. The Rotax 912 engine is mounted on the vertical stabilizer and drives a three-bladed propeller. The three-part tail wheel landing gear is retractable and the hull is equipped with stub wings called Seafoils on the underside for stabilization in the water. The take-off distance is specified as 200 m both on land and in water. The machine is equipped with a total rescue system for emergencies . The cockpit with a length of 1.7 m and a width of 1.3 m is equipped with screen instruments and a double control for the pilots sitting next to each other.
