LWC paper

As LWC paper referred to wood-containing , double-sided coated paper in the weight range of 39 to 80 g / m² (coat weight max. 5-10 g / m² per side). The abbreviation LWC stands for light weight coated , literally “light weight, coated”.

LWC paper is suitable for offset printing (web offset with double-sided printing) and gravure printing and is mainly used for magazines , mail order catalogs, Infopost and the like.

Papers of this type with an even lower weight are referred to as ULWC papers (ULWC = ultra light weight coated ); Coat weight <8 g / m².
