LaTeX2html is a converter for TeX and LaTeX written in the Perl programming language . It enables you to convert the TeX sources into HTML and thus make documents created in TeX or LaTeX available online on the web without much effort . Furthermore, HTML tags can also be integrated into the TeX sources, which the TeX compiler does not interpret.
The project has not been maintained since 2001. The projects TeX4ht , Hyperlatex , TtH and plasTeX , which are very different in terms of objectives and development status, can be used as substitutes .
The original version was written by Nikos Drakos in 1993.
