Lazar is an open data - repository for the complete Managing humanities research data with a regional. The research data infrastructure is designed for digitally created multimedia research data, but can also be used for the development of retro-digitized primary data. The scientific director is Thede Kahl .

Concept and development

LaAZR is operated by the Institute for Slavic Studies and Caucasus Studies at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . The technical support of the database and the back-end tool is provided by the central office of the Joint Library Network (GVB), while the Technical Information Library of Hanover (TIB) is responsible for long-term archiving of the data.

Data model and technical implementation

The data model is based on the DataCite standard; eesydb software is used to implement the data model. Referencing takes place via digital object identifiers (DOI). The model is based on standard data such as ISO codes , Glottolog , GND , GeoNames , ORCID and Getty.
