La Casa Azul

La Casa Azul (2008)

La Casa Azul is a Spanish pop group founded in 1997 by Guille Milkyway , who is both songwriter and producer of the band. In addition, the group officially consists of five other members, who mainly appear in the music videos and for promotional purposes, but do not play or sing live. Milkyway takes on this part itself. This type of performance has contributed to the creation of an image according to which Milkyway is actually the only artist on the records, and the other band members more or less only act in the foreground. This is supported by the fact that they do not give interviews and no official surnames are known.

style

The music is a mixture of sunshine pop , soft pop and the easy listening of the 60s. Furthermore, influences from the European disco music of the 70s (see Abba ) and certain reminiscences of J-pop are in the repertoire of Make out group. This retro style is also present in the videos.

Eurovision 2008

In 2008, La Casa Azul took third place in the final of the Spanish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest with a 3-minute presentation of the song La revolución sexual .
