La Grande Souille

La Grande Souille ( French for The Great Stain ) is a breeding colony of Adelie penguins in the center of Rostand Island in the Géologie Archipelago off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland .
Claude Volck, director of the Dumont-d'Urville station in 1970 and 1975, named them.
