The Rostand Island ( French Île Jean Rostand ) is a small, 330 m long rocky island off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located 170 m southeast of the Pétrel Island in the Géologie archipelago .

French scientists mapped them in the course of a research trip lasting from 1949 to 1951 and named them after the French biologist Jean Rostand (1894–1977).
