La Mano con Ojos
La Mano con Ojos (Eng. "The hand with eyes") is a criminal organization in Mexico . She is mainly active in drug smuggling and sales and is said to work for the Sinaloa cartel .
The main field of activity of Mano con Ojos is the area around Mexico City . The organization is also active in Huixquilucan , Naucalpan , Atizapán , Tultitlán , Cuautitlán Izcalli and other areas.
Óscar García Montoya is the alleged founder and head of the organization. He is said to have founded the group after the arrest of Edgar Valdez Villareal , whose bodyguard he was, in September 2010. On August 11, 2011, the Mexican police arrested Óscar García Montoya. The entire group is believed to be responsible for the murder of 900 people. Since December 2010, at least 29 homicides in the state of Mexico alone and ten in Mexico City had been attributed to the organization. The members of the group are partly trained in Guatemala, where Montoya served in the army.
In October 2011 , two decapitated bodies were found in Mexico City , near the Ministry of Defense, covered with a cardboard box bearing the group's logo. The public display of beheaded victims to spread fear is not uncommon in the Mexican drug war .
