La Pedriza
The Pedriza is the largest granite formation in Europe and is located in Manzanares el Real , about 42 km from Madrid ( Spain ). The approximately 3,200 hectares that the Pedriza occupies are located in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park , the largest protected natural area in the municipality of Madrid, and are crossed by numerous small rivers and the Manzanares River .
Hiking and climbing are the most popular sports in Pedriza. This is particularly evident from the large influx of people on many weekends.
