La Presse (Canada)

La Presse is a French-language Canadian daily newspaper with editorial offices in Montreal . It appears Monday to Saturday, the earlier Sunday edition was discontinued in 2009 for cost reasons.

The newspaper was founded in 1884 by William-Edmond Blumhart, today's publisher is Gesca, a subsidiary of the Power Corporation of Canada . The circulation in 2011 was around 220,000 copies.
