Power Corporation of Canada is a Canadian group of companies based in Montreal .

The company was founded in 1925 by Arthur J. Nesbitt and his business partner Peter Thompson. 1952, the son Arthur Deane Nesbitt followed to the top of the company. In 1968 the company was sold to the Canadian Paul Desmarais (senior) group. In 2008 the company employed around 15,500 people, in 2020 it was around 30,000.
