The La República (LR) is in Bogotá published six days a week liberal business paper . Because of its numerous political articles, it is not a pure financial journal. The newspaper has been owned by Organización Ardila Lülle since the beginning of 2017 .

The paper was founded in 1954 as the first pure business newspaper by the former President of Colombia , Mariano Ospina Pérez and the publisher of El Colombiano , Julio C. Hernández . Since Colombia has experienced steady economic growth from around the year 2000, it has been the most influential newspaper among entrepreneurs, brokers, economists and bankers in Colombia , with access to news and content across multiple platforms.

The newspaper consists of five sections:
