La Sgambeda

La Sgambeda is a ski marathon in Italy with start and finish in Livigno . The event is held annually in December. There will be runs in free technique over 42 km and 22.5 km and a run in classic technique over 35 km. The routes run at an altitude of 1800 to 2100 m above sea level. NN. The first race of La Sgambeda took place in 1990.

The 42-km race in free technique goes into cross-country skiing Marathon Cup of the FIS one. The 35 km race in classic technique will be counted in the Ski Classics running series . In 2014 and 2015, as part of La Sgambeda, the prologue to the Ski Classics competition series over 15 km was held in classic technique, for which only the members of the professional teams were allowed to start.
