The Parco Faunistico La Torbiera is an animal park in Agrate Conturbia , Italy .
It was created in 1977 to protect endangered animal species and to offer them the most natural environment possible. The park is located between the Po Valley and the foothills of the Alps. It extends over an area of 40 hectares.
One area of the park is accessible to visitors, while another area is an absolute protection zone, in which no visitors are allowed.

The site is located in an area with a mild and always humid climate and extensive wet ecotopes with moors and floodplains. Pedunculate oaks ( Quercus robur ), hanging birches ( Betula pendula ), chestnuts ( Castanea sativa ), locust trees ( Robinia pseudoacacia ) and red oaks ( Quercus rubra ) thrive in the extensive forest area of the park .
In the approximately 40 hectare protected zone for native animal species, which is inaccessible to visitors, live and a.
