La Vibora ( Spanish for The Snake ) in Six Flags Over Texas ( Arlington , Texas , USA ) is a steel roller coaster model Swiss Bob from the manufacturer Intamin , which opened in 1987 under the name Avalanche Bobsled .
The carriages from La Vibora do not ride on classic roller coaster rails, but in a curvy bobsled- like canal, which is also intended to simulate the experience of a ride in a bobsled . The theme was later redesigned from an Alpine theme to a snake theme.
The track originally opened in 1984 in Six Flags Magic Mountain as Sarajevo Bobsleds . But since she was part of Six Flags' ride rotation program , she was transported to Six Flags Over Texas two years later.
