La Visite National Park
The La Visite National Park is one of two national parks of the Republic of Haiti . The national park is located in the south-east of the country, extends over an area of around 20 square kilometers and consists primarily of pine forests ( Hispaniola pine , Pinus occidentalis ), grassland and in areas over 1700 meters of mountain vegetation on the slopes of the highest mountain in the country, the Morne de la Selle .
In La Visite National Park will find a number of endangered species, some of them only on the island of Hispaniola occurring species , a refuge.
