Laughing is fun

Laughing is fun is an entertainment show on NDR television that has been broadcast at irregular intervals on Saturdays, Sundays and in so-called holiday special programs in prime time since 2000 on NDR television.

In the archive compilation broadcast, skits by living and deceased German-speaking comedians from the public broadcasting archives are shown. Current comedians comment on the legendary old skits. The show is led by changing moderators and studio guests. Most recently, studio guests were dispensed with in favor of brief presentations. The series will not be continued in 2008.

The show achieved a market share of 20.9 percent in northern Germany with up to 830,000 viewers . The highest ratings nationwide was 1.7 million viewers, which corresponds to a market share of 8.2 percent.

In addition, there are special programs which the title with laughter ... carry. In 2006, the entire series under this label was devoted to single-topic programs such as Otto Waalkes, Hape Kerkeling, Rudi Carrell, Heinz Erhardt and Peter Frankenfeld. These programs were moderated by Eva Herman and Bettina Tietjen.
