The Lacul Morii reservoir is located in Romania in sector 6 in the northwest of Bucharest .
The lake was built for flood protection on the Dâmbovița . Today it also serves as a recreation area. There is a small island in the north of the lake. The reservoir is up to 2.5 kilometers wide, has an area of 246 hectares and a depth of 15 meters and a water volume of 14.7 million m³.
