The Aachen colliery was a mine for glaze lead with its own lead smelting facility in Werschbachtal , which existed until 1929, in what is now the municipality of Much in the Rhein-Sieg district , North Rhine-Westphalia . The local part there has also had the same name since around 1860; previously it was called Pielsiefen .
