Reinshagen is part of the municipality of Much in the Rhein-Sieg district .

Reinshagen lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Bech and Werschberg in the east and Birrenbachshöhe in the west.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1166 as Reginshagin .

In 1901 the village had 101 inhabitants. These were the households Joh.Gerhard Franken, Arnold Hess, Peter Höhner, Joh.Kraus, widow Johann Kraus, Wilhelm Merten, Joh.Josef Müller, Wilhelm Sauer, Gerhard Schmitz, Peter Schmitz, Hilger Siebel, widow Wilhelm Siebertz, Gerhard Steimel, Peter Weber and Wilhelm Weber. With the exception of the small trader Peter Schmitz, all farmers were by profession.

In 1921 the village was connected to the electricity, in 1961 to the drinking water network.

In 1944 an incendiary bomb fell on a residential building.

In 1950 there were 76 residents in Reinshagen.
