Senschenhöhe is located on the slopes of the Bergisches Land on Landesstrasse 224 . Neighboring towns are Wohlfarth in the east, Feld in the south and Kranüchel in the west.

Residents

In 1901 the homestead had 30 residents. The heads of the household were the tailor Joh. Peter Heimann, the bricklayer Heinrich Krämer, the farmer Friedrich Wilhelm Steinsträßer and the farmer's widow Johann Steinsträßer.

history

Senschenhöhe was first mentioned in 1454 as a village belonging to the Kreuzkapelle. The name was Welpshoe until the 15th century, before the eponymous residents from the "Saynischen" (Homburg rule) moved there.
