Residents

In 1901 Wohlfarth was a homestead with 23 residents. The households Ackerer Joh. Haas, Ackerin widow Heinrich Keppler, farrier Franz Kraus and the innkeeper, baker and small trader Heinrich Josef Steimel lived here. Wohlfahrt was an old customs post where you could stop and exchange horses.

Watershed

From the watershed Hülscheid - Senschenhöhe - Birrenbachshöhe some streams arise. To the north two tributaries of the Wahnbach above the Herrenteich , to the east the Höhner Bach, which flows into the Werschbach , to the south the Köbach and to the west the Wendbach, which also flows into the Wahnbach at the former Herkenrather mill .
