Amtsknechtswahn lies in the Wahnbach valley . The neighboring hamlet in the north is Loßkittel , in the east Roßbruch and in the south Leverath . The place is on the national road 189 .
Residents
The place, formerly also named Zu der Wanden or Zur Waan after the Wahnbach, got its name affix at the latest from the resident Reinhard Caspar Scherer, who has been living here since 1694 and from 1687 to 1712 was a servant of the community of Much, like others of his family.
In 1901 the hamlet had 29 inhabitants. The families of the farmers Ferdinand August Müller, Jakob Müller, Wilhelm Overrödder and Joh. Gerhard Stommel lived here.
