Scheid is a district of the municipality of Much in the Rhein-Sieg district . The Scheidhof is located outside of Scheid .
history
Scheid was first mentioned in documents as Abtshof on the Scheid in 1275. In the 14th century, this farm was acquired by the Weschpfennig family, who later called themselves Herren von Scheidt called Weschpfennig . The Scheid manor was then still the residence of Philip Hundt, mayor of Much.
In 1901 the village had 68 inhabitants. There were 17 households listed:
Gerhard Dahlhäuser, widow Peter Josef Dick, Wilhelm Haas, Hubert and Wilhelm Kranüchel, two Joh. Krimmel, Friedrich Küpper, Josefa Küpper, Joh.Peter Moos, Arnold Müller, widow Wilhelm Rath, Gerhard, Joh. Peter, Joh. Theodor and Wilhelm Schrahe and Peter Josef Wurtscheid. Almost all of them were farmers . Only one of the Krimmel as a carpenter , Friedrich Küpper as the mill owner and the shoemaker Wurtscheid had other acquisitions .

In Scheid, there is an indoor arena, a fishing park and two built by the village community boules .
