Hetzenholz lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land . The neighboring town in the southeast is Niederheimbach . Hetzenholz can be reached via federal highway 56 .

history

In 1901 there were 64 inhabitants in the hamlet. Then it passed the budgets of Ackerer Joh. Peter and Peter Josef Bungart, Ackerer Joh. Joseph Engelbert who Ackerer Carl, John. Joseph and Wilhelm Engelbertz, teachers Joh. Army, the field inside Catharina, Elisabeth and widow Josef Klein, bakers and retailers Joh. Krumm, farm worker widow Heinrich Manz, farm worker Anton Ommer, seamstress Anna Schäfer, leather dealer Philipp Schuld, farm workers Gerhard, Heinrich Josef and Joh. Josef Tillmann, carpenter Philipp Tillmann and teacher Peter Weiand.

In 1910 there were eight households in Hetzenholz: farm worker Johann Peter Bungart, two farm workers Johann Josef Engelbertz and day laborer Karl Engelbertz, farm worker Gerhard and Heinrich Josef Tillmann, carpenter Philipp Tillmann and teacher Peter Weiand.

The foundation stone for the branch church Sankt Josef was laid in 1922. In the same year the local church choir was founded.

The elementary school in Hetzenholz was closed in 1969. Today the building is used as a kindergarten.
