Cartridge feed malfunction ( HK P7 )
As jamming refers to a malfunction of a firearm . Usually a cartridge or cartridge case jams in the loading mechanism, so that the automatic removal of the old one or the reloading of the next is interrupted.
The trigger can, for example, be the enormous heat that arises during continuous fire when the metal parts on the weapon warp. Manufacturing defects in the ammunition, soiling or the penetration of foreign bodies into the weapon can also cause a load jam. With rifles such as carbines as repeating rifles with single fire , such disturbances tend to occur less. The susceptibility of weapons to jamming can also be attributed to a complicated and therefore vulnerable mechanism on the breech or the ammunition feed.
