The Lademann Realschule is a Realschule in the Lower Saxony district town of Helmstedt in Germany . Most of the students come from the surrounding villages of the city.
history
The school sees its roots in the agricultural school, which moved to Wilhelmstrasse in 1892 and took on the character of a general secondary school in 1897, since after attending it one could attain secondary school leaving certificate . In 1921 it was expanded into an upper secondary school, but closed in 1938.
The secondary school itself was founded in 1968 to cope with the steadily increasing number of students. The Helmstedt Middle School, founded in 1939, was divided so that Realschule II (later Lademann Realschule) moved into the school building on Amtsgasse and Realschule I (later Beireis Realschule ) stayed in the building on Schulstrasse for the time being. Lessons with 12 classes started.
Since the school building on Amtsgasse was unsuitable for the Lademann secondary school, however, she moved to the former building of the Julianum grammar school on Wilhelmstrasse in 1972 . In this way, it was possible to do justice to the increasing number of students with the new premises.
The school is named after the former headmistress Emmi Lademann, who ran the school from 1919 to 1956. On its 84th birthday, December 20, 1974, the Realschule received its official name "Lademann Realschule".
