Lists on the subject

The Lading Terus is a dagger from Indonesia .

description

The Lading Terus has a straight, double-edged blade. The blade becomes wide from the handle , then narrower and tapers in place . The blades were often made of Pamor steel (similar to Damascus steel ). The handle is round, made of wood or horn and has a spherical pommel. The knob is drilled through to accommodate a lanyard . The sheaths are also made of wood or horn and are adapted to the shape of the blade. The blades are very similar to a spearhead and are likely made from the blades of short spears . The Lading Terus is used by ethnic groups from Indonesia.
