The Laffly R 35 was a French tractor vehicle that was built by Laffly from 1935 .

It was powered by a 100 hp Ford engine. In addition to the space for the driver, the driver's cab also had space for two more people. The vehicle, known colloquially as the Laffly tractor , was used as an export commodity in the German Reich, mainly for road winter service , until the outbreak of World War II , partly because its selected gear ratio enabled slow driving at only 2 km / h. Its total length was 4.88 m with a center distance of 3.28 m. Its total width was 2.30 m with a track width of 1.79 m. After the attack by the Wehrmacht in the case of Gelb , which initially came to an end with the surrender of France at the end of June 1940, many R 35 vehicles ended up in the Wehrmacht's holdings as captured vehicles . So it was not surprising that the R 35 could be found in almost every German theater of war in Europe. Due to a lack of spare parts, wear and tear or enemy destruction, the inventory then fell continuously until the end of the war.
