Lag ny Keeilley

Lag ny Keeilley is located at the foot of the 437 m high Cronk ny Irree Laa south of Peel, in the southwest of the Isle of Man and consists of a keeill , a culdeer cell, a cemetery and an early church enclosure .

The interesting thing about this old keeill on the ledge is that it can be reached by boat from Dalby Beach, which is about 2 kilometers south, and it can only be landed within an hour on a calm day with high tide. The steep ascent of around 200 m is also difficult. The other access is on the old pack horse route from Eary Cushlin. This trail is the best preserved example of the old packhorse trails. The last burial in the cemetery appears to have taken place in the 18th century.
