Arova Porsche 212 Skibob

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Arova Porsche 212 Skibob was built in 1970 by the Swiss Arova group of companies for what was then Porsche KG and sold through the Porsche dealer network at a price of 653 DM. The Arova 212 distinguishes itself from classic skibobs by its body made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. This body was designed in such a way that it could accommodate all attachments of the skibob. Handlebars, handlebar sleeve, front (steerable) ski and the "Bigfoots" (small skis for the feet) were stowed under the fold-up bench. The rear ski of the bob could be folded under the body.

particularities

In this condition, the entire bob could be transported in the trunk of a Porsche without any problems. Other special features of the sports equipment were the hydraulic suspension struts for the front and rear skis and the option of taking a second person along on the long bench. The Arova Porsche 212 was offered in two colors (blue and blood orange), with the orange bobs being limited to a few copies. The production of the Arova Porsche 212 was stopped after a few hundred copies.
