Max Slevogt Medal

The Max Slevogt Medal is a cultural prize awarded by the State of Rhineland-Palatinate .

It is named after the Palatinate artist Max Slevogt . The medal was donated in 1972 by the then Prime Minister Helmut Kohl and has been awarded since then by the Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is awarded to visual artists or to sponsors of the visual arts in Rhineland-Palatinate. The bronze medal was designed by Theo Siegle and cast by Gernot Rumpf .
