Sigrun Paas

Sigrun Paas (* 1944 in Saaz ) is a German art historian .

Sigrun Paas studied art history, German studies, history and sociology and received his doctorate in 1976 from Heidelberg University . She then worked at the Kunsthalle Karlsruhe , the Kunsthalle Hamburg , the Wilhelm Hack Museum in Ludwigshafen am Rhein and the Landesmuseum Darmstadt . From 1990 until her retirement in 2009 she was head of the paintings and sculptures department at the Landesmuseum Mainz , and since 1995 head of the Max Slevogt Gallery in Villa Ludwigshöhe in Edenkoben . In 2012 she received the Max Slevogt Medal .
