Lambert Island is a small island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the group of Aitcho Islands in the English Strait , it lies west of Fort William on Robert Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013. It is named after Rear Admiral Nick Lambert, National Hydrographer from 2010 to 2012 and Commander of HMS Endurance from 2005 to 2007.
