The Lampertheimer Asparagus Run is a fun run in southern Hesse Lampertheim which is organized annually by the gymnastics club Lampertheim. The asparagus run traditionally takes place one week before the Lampertheim Asparagus Festival.

Top athletes such as the two-time Ironman Hawaii winner Norman Stadler or the multiple winner of the Ironman Europe Lothar Leder have already started in Lampertheim.

Each finisher receives an asparagus run T-shirt, which has a different color every year.

stretch

The main runs over 10 km and 21 km are official DLV road runs . There is also a 5 km run, a Bambini run (approx. 900 m) and, for the first time in 2008, a school run over approx. 1800 m. The main runs are started together and lead through the city center of Lampertheim. At the exit to Bürstadt , the 10-km runners turn and run through the town back to the finish, while the 21-km runners run a loop through the Neuschloß district over the asparagus fields and the Lampertheim forest .
