Lantern Festival by Kuki
The Lantern Festival of Kuki ( Japanese 久 喜 の 提 灯 祭 り , Kuki no chōchin matsuri ) is a summer festival in the Japanese city of Kuki , Saitama Prefecture . It takes place between July 12th and July 18th. A float is decorated with historical figures such as Yamatotakeru or Oda Nobunaga and Chōchin , the traditional Japanese lanterns and then pulled through the streets in the evening. Stories about the Kuki Lantern Festival go back 220 years.
