The following still needs to be improved:  The legal position of the LFN is unclear. The only thing that emerges from the text is that the NLBL 'takes care' of its administration. There is a lack of facts and data on the establishment and integration into the administration. - Malabon ( discussion ) 22:52, 20 Aug 2020 (CEST)

The entire real estate of the State of Lower Saxony, including the buildings, is summarized in the Landesliegenschaftsfonds Niedersachsen (LFN) special property . The real estate division in the Lower Saxony State Office for Construction and Real Estate (NLBL) takes care of its administration .

tasks

The NLBL is the central point of contact for real estate matters in the country. It buys and sells land and takes care of real estate rentals. The aim is to optimize the value of the real estate portfolio in Lower Saxony - for example by selling uneconomical and expendable properties. In addition, the NLBL takes care of the accommodation of offices in both state-owned and rented properties. The spectrum of the departments supervised ranges from the institute for apiculture and the state museums to universities, police stations and tax offices to the Lower Saxony state representations in Berlin and Brussels.

The NLBL is also responsible for handling state inheritances. This is the case when the state of Lower Saxony becomes either the legal or testamentary heir to an estate.

organization

The LFN administration is a department of the NLBL and is divided into five sections: One deals with fundamental issues relating to property administration and state inheritance. The other four sections correspond to the four branches of the LFN administration in Braunschweig / Göttingen, Hanover, Lüneburg and Oldenburg / Osnabrück. The branch offices perform the on-site property management tasks.
