The joint state student council of Thuringia is the state-wide representation of students in Thuringia.
Composition and structure
According to the Thuringian School Act and the Thuringian Participation Ordinance, the Thuringian State Student Council (hereinafter referred to as LSV) is composed of the state student representatives of the school types . A state board is elected from among the state student representatives and their deputies , which leads the organization within the LSV and represents it externally. Your content-related work is determined by the state school day. This is composed of the state delegates elected at the regional student days.
State student representative
Every two years, all student representatives of a school type elect a district or school student representative and his two deputies at the level of their respective school authority area.
All school authority student representatives of a school type then elect a regional student representative and his deputy from among their number. There are state student representatives for regular schools, vocational schools, special schools, grammar schools and comprehensive schools, as well as for community schools.
State School Day
The regional school day is the highest decision-making body of the LSV. A regional student day takes place once or twice a year and brings together student representatives and interested students from all over Thuringia for a weekend or a day. Topics, questions and problems are discussed and answered there. The main purpose of a state school day is to give new impetus to the work of the state school council.
There are also regional student days, which serve not only for exchange, but also for the concrete proposal of a content framework. Such state student days for the processing of applications, or the applications passed there, set the LSV clear content-related goals that come directly from the student representatives of the entire Free State.
