State Insurance Office of North Rhine-Westphalia
The National Insurance Board North Rhine-Westphalia was until 31 December 2007, a state authority within the portfolio of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs , based in Essen. It was established by law of December 14, 1989 to January 1, 1990 with the simultaneous incorporation of the Upper Insurance Office and dissolved on January 1, 2008 in the course of administrative modernization and incorporated into the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, which also has taken over the tasks. These are in detail:
- Legal supervision according to Section 87, Paragraph 1 of Book IV of the Social Code on the direct social insurance agencies in North Rhine-Westphalia , which perform their tasks as corporations under public law with self-administration under their own responsibility
- Responsible body according to Section 73 of the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) for the training occupation of social security clerk in the area of all state-direct social security agencies
- Examination in accordance with Sections 274 and 281 (3) SGB V and Section 46 (6) SGB XI of the business, accounting and operational management of the state-direct health and long-term care insurance funds, the state associations of health and long-term care insurance, the state-direct agricultural social insurance carriers, the medical services of the health insurance ( MDK ), the statutory health insurance and statutory health insurance associations, the committees and offices according to § 106 SGB V
- Subareas of the risk structure compensation at the state-direct health insurance companies.
