The agency was founded by the German Walter Landor in 1941 in San Francisco as Landor Associates . The company's logo (not shown here, but can be seen in the menu on the company's website linked below) is based on a discarded ferry that was purchased by Walter Landor in 1964 and has been a floating design studio and company headquarters in San Francisco Bay for more than two decades Performed service.
