The Iserlohn Type A landscape protection area with an area of ​​8,250  hectares is located in the Märkischer Kreis in the area of ​​the city of Iserlohn . It was designated in 1997 by the district council of the Märkisches Kreis with the landscape plan No. 4 Iserlohn as a landscape protection area (LSG) of type A (general landscape protection). The LSG goes to the edge of the settlement.
