The landscape protection area open land southwest of Brilon with 37.39 hectares lies in the urban area of Brilon . The area was designated as a landscape protection area (LSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the landscape plan of the Brilon plateau . The LSG is used almost entirely for agriculture. Here, grassland areas predominate as use.

Commandments

According to the expulsion, various commandments have been set. The LSG is to be kept free of forest through agricultural use and maintenance measures. Fallow areas are to be mowed in sections every three years to prevent encroachment. Mowing must not take place before August 1st in order not to destroy broods. When mowing, the cuttings must be transported away. If necessary, fruit trees should be replanted on orchards. Dead fruit trees are to be left as habitat trees. The hedges are to be put on the floor every ten to 15 years, with individual trees being left in place. The hedge work may only be carried out from October 1st to February 28th.
