Landscape protection area Local open spaces south of Grevenstein
The landscape protection area near-by-place open spaces south of Grevenstein with 6.9 hectares is located in the urban area of Meschede and in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The area was designated as a landscape protection area (LSG) in 1994 with the Meschede landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The LSG was designated as a type B landscape planning area , small-scale landscape protection. The LSG is one of 102 landscape protection areas in the city of Meschede. In the city there is a landscape protection area of type A, 51 landscape protection areas of type B and 50 landscape protection areas of type C. The LSG belongs toSauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park . There are agricultural open land areas in the LSG.
Protection purpose
The designation was carried out to ensure the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape in the vicinity of the localities and the old agricultural priority areas by keeping it open. Also because of its special importance for recreation.
Legal regulations
As in the other landscape protection areas in the city, the LSG prohibits building structures. Construction projects for horticulture, agriculture and forestry are exempt from the ban. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority can issue exceptional permits for buildings of all kinds. As in the other type B landscape protection areas in Meschede, the LSG prohibits initial afforestation and the creation of Christmas trees , ornamental branches and tree nurseries .
