The landscape protection area Ruhraue Auf der Bleiche with an area of ​​58.51  hectares is located in the area of ​​the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

In the northeast, the B 226 forms the border. In the north, the LSG goes up to a water collection system. There is a railway line in the east and an industrial area in the south. In the west the LSG goes to the city limits.

In the LSG mainly agriculturally used areas are grassland and arable land in the Ruhr floodplain . There are only individual trees and bushes in the LSG.

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation was made “to maintain and restore the efficiency of the natural balance, in particular by securing the wet areas from backfilling and overloading with nutrients”.
