The Hülsbergbach landscape protection area with an area of ​​61.58  hectares is located in the area of ​​the independent city of Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

The A1 forms the border in the south. In the north, the L 675 and the B 226 are partially the border. No other protected areas border the area. In the LSG there are mainly forest areas with the Hülsbergbach.

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation was made “to maintain and restore the efficiency of the natural balance, in particular by securing natural habitats and because of the special importance of the forest area for recreational use aimed at experiencing nature”.
