Wenden-Drolshagen landscape protection area, type B
The nature reserve Wenden-Drolshagen, type B with 8,875 hectares is located in the district of Olpe . It was designated in 2006 by the district council of the district of Olpe as a landscape protection area (LSG) of type B (special landscape protection: "Protection of characteristic meadow valleys and special functional areas") with landscape plan No. 4 Wenden-Drolshagen . The LSG is located in the areas of Wenden and Drolshagen . The LSG extends to the outskirts of the settlement.

Protection purpose
The designation was made to secure and maintain the natural suitability for recreation and the efficiency of the natural balance against the diverse civilizational demands on nature and landscape. Also to protect the meadow valleys and the rivers there.
Legal regulations
In the landscape protection area, among other things, the erection of structures and the drainage of groundwater, even when waterlogged, are prohibited. Initial afforestation and the new planting of Christmas tree cultures, ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures are also prohibited.
